Tournament Format
The NCAA March Madness has been played since 1939 and since its inception has been considered the most prestigious collegiate tournament where the best teams from across the US come together to compete for the national championship trophy. UCLA is the most successful team with 11 titles, although the last one came back in 1995, UCLA returned to its peak in the 60s and 70s when they managed to win the NCAA March Madness 10 times and they were very successful.
In recent years, Villanova (3 titles), UConn (4 titles) and Duke (5 titles) are among the most successful teams in March Madness. in this challenge they are very difficult to win this tournament which is evident when looking at the previous champions because rarely have they managed to defend the title for two years in a row as if cursed.
The tournament is played through four different stages. First, 69 teams will appear in the First Four round. This is the first elimination round that takes the winning team to the next round, First and Second Half schedule. In the First and Second Half, the teams will be divided into four regions with 16 teams in each group. The top seeded team in each region will compete against the seeded 16th team, the 2nd seeded team against the 15th seeded team and so on, the teams that qualify from the First and Second Round will later appear in the Regional semifinals and finals, also known as Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight. Furthermore, the winners from each region will advance to the Final Four which is the final round before the two final contestants face each other in the upcoming NCAA March Madness 2022 final.
